I finally learned how to cook a kickass steak. Without marinades. Without ‘chicago’ steak seasoning. Don’t even need a grill. Just salt the crap out of it and leave it out for 30min. Wash the non-absorbed salt off and pat dry. Season with garlic powder and pepper. Get a grill pan with a little grapeseed oil screaming hot. Throw it on and don’t touch it until you have some crust. Flip it, cook to desired doneness. Let it rest for 5-10 or the time it takes to melt a thin pad of butter over the top. Serve.
